Local Uprising

A Local Uprising…

Steve "Capt' Steve-O" Duran isn't all nickname. He was an actual ship captain for the Coast Guard for 30 years until 2 heart attacks and a case of Vertigo ended that chapter in his career. This did not blow the man down. In 2010 he started Revolution Radio to bring attention to the Las Vegas local music scene. Metal is the prime directive with
Capt' Steve-O with an emphasis on the "heavy". "Local music needed a boost especially in the Heavy Metal scene. We are bringing that scene together one listener at a time." The online station also broadcasts nation wide shows such as "MidnightMetal Militia" from the depths of Pa. A year and a half ago Capt' Steve-O met Kris "Kaivman" Satterfield. Kaivman  got his start into online radio As a guest on a podcast he was asked to return after his first show.He was on a few shows like Vegas Live with Ninon
and with Will Mon on I Got A Hit. Steve gave him a shot on the Local Uprising Show And the rest, as they say, is Revolution Radio history folks!
Along with hosting Las Vegas local shows and broadcasting from various Las Vegas live music events, the duo have promoted their own live events. The first annual Local Uprising show will be held at Jin's Club at 3400 South Jones #5b Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday August 4th. The line up features powerhouse acts such as LA Story, Baker's Dozen, Ten Ton Hammer, Tyrants By Night, IDSFA, Scumlove, and Ravenscroft.
